Choke and Kill Manifold
1、 The throttling and well control manifold system is a supporting device of the hydraulic blowout preventer system. It is a necessary equipment for successfully controlling well kick and implementing oil and gas well pressure control technology. During the drilling process of oil and gas wells, once the drilling fluid in the wellbore is contaminated by the formation fluid, the balance between the static fluid column pressure of the drilling fluid and the formation pressure will be disrupted, leading to overflow and well kick. When it is necessary to circulate contaminated drilling fluid or pump performance adjusted weighted mud into the well to rebuild this balance relationship, under the condition that the blowout preventer is closed, the opening and closing of the throttle valve in the throttle manifold is used to control a certain back pressure to maintain stable bottomhole pressure and prevent further infiltration of formation fluids. In addition, the throttle manifold device can also be used for well flushing, blowoff, and other purposes. The product meets the requirements of relevant standards such as API spec 16c 'Throttle and Kill Manifold System' and SY5323 'Kill Manifold and Throttle Manifold' in terms of design, material selection, performance testing, and factory testing. Therefore, as long as it is operated correctly according to the instructions, the operation of this equipment is reliable.

The function and structural composition of throttle manifold and kill manifold
1. Purpose:
Throttle manifold is a necessary equipment for controlling well kick and implementing pressure control technology in oil and gas wells. Under the condition of the blowout preventer being closed, the opening and closing of the throttle valve is used to control a certain casing pressure to maintain the bottomhole pressure slightly higher than the formation pressure, avoiding further inflow of formation fluids into the well. In addition, when implementing well shut in, a pressure relief manifold can be used to achieve soft shut in. When the pressure inside the well reaches a certain limit, it is used to release water to protect the wellhead.
2. Composition and Structure
The throttle manifold consists of throttle valve, gate valve, pipeline, pipe fittings, pressure gauge, etc., as shown in the above figure and the gate valve and throttle valve parts.
3. Working principle
When the pressure inside the well increases, the fluid inside the well can be released to control the casing pressure by opening and closing the throttle valve (which can be manually adjusted, hydraulic, or fixed) on the throttle manifold. When the casing pressure is high, it can be directly sprayed through a gate valve.
